| Last rites of Former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit to be performed today | | | |  New Delhi July 21:-
Last rites of former Delhi Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Sheila Dikshit to be performed in Delhi today; President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other leaders offer condolence over her demise.
The Last rites of Former Delhi chief minister and Delhi Congress President Sheila Dikshit will be performed today; She passed away on Saturday of a cardiac arrest at the age of 81; Her body will be kept at the party headquarters for final respects before her last rites to be performed in the afternoon. she will be accorded state funeral.
Dikshit served as the Chief Minister of Delhi from 1998 to 2013. She was the second woman chief minister of Delhi. She also represented the Kannauj Parliamentary Constituency in Uttar Pradesh. She also served as Governor of Kerala in March 2014. However, she resigned in August 2014. Dikshit, was appointed as president of the Delhi Congress in January.
The Delhi government has declared a two-day state mourning as a mark of respect to the former Chief Minister and veteran leader.

Expressing his condolence, Union Minority Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Shiela Dixit's political career is an inspiration for people of the country.
