| Kathua: Land acquisition approved for public assets | | | | KATHUA, OCTOBER 12: Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, (District Collector) today chaired a meeting of Land collectors and representatives of executing agencies and finalized the rates for land acquisition for construction of public assets in the district.
Five land acquisition cases including 3 of Billawar and two cases of Hiranagar were approved after threadbare discussion.
The DC also finalized rates for different chunk of land being acquired in various villages, nature of land as it being irrigated or rain fed was also discussed in detail.
The DC instructed the collectors to expedite preparation of land documents for the installation of 220 KV towers along with their allied works and commissioning of dug well at Billawar and Hiranagar respectively. Focusing on the importance of timely completion of different roads and other projects in the district, Khajuria emphasized upon the officers to expedite the acquisition process without any delay to enable the executing agency to start the physical work at the site.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Jatinder Mishra, ADC Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, ADC Basholi, Sanjay Gupta, SDMs of Bani and Hiranagar, Tehsildar Hiranagar, SE, System and Operation Wing (PDD) and officers of PHE department were present during the meeting. | | | | |
