| FIFA World Cup: Semi-final line-up complete; France to face Belgium while England to meet Croatia | | | |  Moscow JULY 08,2018(AGENCIES)
The semi-final line-up of the ongoing FIFA World Cup has been drawn. In the first semi-final, France will face Belgium at Saint Petersburg on Tuesday, while England will take on Croatia in the second semi-final at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Wednesday.
England and Croatia set up their last-4 clash last night after they won their respective quarterfinal matches. England cruised past Sweden, 2-0 at Samara, to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup for the first time since 1990.
Later, in Sochi, Croatia edged past hosts Russia, 4-3 on penalties after the regulation time ended at 1-1, and extra-time at 2-2. The Croats secured a place in the semi-finals after 20 years.
Earlier, Belgium had defeated five-time champions Brazil, 2-1, while France beat Uruguay, 2-0.
The Final is slated for next Sunday in Moscow. | | | | |
