Japan 07 July,2018(Agencies)
In Japan, at least eight people were killed and more than 50 are missing due to heavy rain and flooding. Kyoto and Yamaguchi prefectures are most affected with landslide warnings issued by the authorities.

Roads are blocked in some areas and about 250 people had to flee their homes. The Meteorological Department has expanded emergency warnings to Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Okayama, Tottori, Hyogo and Kyoto prefectures.

Agency officials say there is an imminent risk of massive flooding and landslides that could cause serious damage.

In the hardest-hit regions, the water levels in rivers are above flood warning levels.
