| Teaching learning practice class organized by Civil Defense Jammu | | Ask learners how to prevent from untoward incidents in time | | |  Jammu 23rd December 2025: In view of the growing untoward incidents generally in daily life the civil defense Jammu wing organized one day teaching learning practice class among the civilians at R.S.Pura Jammu here today. Sources revealed that civil defense servants have launched the general awareness programme and urged the people at large to consider how preventive and safety measures would be adopted at the time of every untoward incident happening or coming in the way of daily life within us or society.
Sources further said that in the wake of an awareness program for disaster preparedness in colleges/ schools, the Civil Defence, Jammu organized a one-day awareness programme at Social Welfare Centre R.S.Pura, Jammu.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Dy. SP. Zia-ul- Haq, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. About 100 Aanganwari workers, Helpers and staff of the department attended the program. Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, Firefighting, CPR and other life saving techniques were given to the students by the Civil Defence expert. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics was also presented by the Civil Defense team. The main aim of the awareness programme was to educate students with regard to preventive measures during natural or man-made disasters.
On the occasion Sh. Paramjit Kuamar, Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Jammu, delivered a lecture on the topic of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization. Sh. R.Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence Jammu also delivered a lecture and highlighted the role of Civil Defence Warden Services.
Smt. Aditya Sethi, CDPO, R.S. Pura, Prof. Savita Nayyar, Director, Centre for Women’s Studies, Dr. Saranjit Kaur, Assistant Professor and Dr. Disha Sharma, Assistant Professor also present on the occasion.
