| PSPS Govt. College for Women hosts Career Counselling Session Under CSR Initiative | | | | JAMMU NOVEMBER 13:- In a significant step toward empowering young women and enhancing their career prospects, PSPS Government College for Women hosted a career counselling session in collaboration with Chanakya IAS Academy under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative on 12 November, 2025.
To prepare students for successful careers, fostering a generation of empowered women , the event was held to bridge the gap in academic education and professional readiness, providing a roadmap for their professional growth.
The Principal of the College, Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, highlighted the importance of such initiatives, in her welcome address , 'This career counselling session is a crucial step in preparing our students for the challenges of the professional world. We are thankful to our corporate partners for their support and commitment to women’s empowerment.'
The Key highlights of the programme were the Chief Guests, Dr Tushar Mahajan (JKAS-2024), Ms. Sonali Ashok (JKAS-2023) and Mr.Sameer Ibrahim (JKAS-2023), the Officers, who deliberated, inspired and shared their experiences with the students. The interactive session witnessed active participation from the students, who eagerly asked questions and sought guidance from the esteemed speakers. The speakers patiently addressed the queries, providing valuable insights and suggestions to help the students navigate their preparation journey effectively. The whole initiative was met with enthusiasm by the students, who described the session as enlightening and empowering.
The collaborative effort between PSPS GCW Gandhi Nagar and Chanakya IAS Academy , Jammu proved to be a resounding success in inspiring and guiding the students towards their JKAS and UPSC CSE aspirations.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Mr. Owais Ali Bhat, Director Chanakya IAS Academy to the speakers for their invaluable presence and motivating the students with their remarkable achievements. He also extended appreciation to Prof Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the college for her support in organizing the event. He also thanked to Prof Rashi Gupta, Convener, Career Counselling and Placement Cell and Committee members for help and support in organizing such events. The event was initiated by Prof Suman, and proceedings were conducted by Ms Masarat and Ms Kamana.
