| CW Udhampur Celebrates National Education Day | | | | | UDHAMPUR NOVEMBER 11,2025: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad(The first Education Minister of Independent India) for his great contribution to the cause of education in India,The Department of Education, Government College for Women, (GCW)Udhampur in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council observed National Education Day.The main theme of the programme was “AI and education: Preserving human agency in a world of automation”.A symposium was organized on the theme. Around hundred studentsparticipated as audience and ten students spoke on the occasion.The programme started with the welcome address by Prof. Kusha Sharma ,HOD Department of Education.In his welcome address, while throwing the light on the life, teachingand educational contributions of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, he alsohighlighted their importance in present context.Prof (Dr.) Nalini Pathania, Principal, Government College for women,Udhampur in her presidential address highlighted the educationalcontributions of Abul Kalam Azad in establishing top educationalbodies including UGC, AICTE,CSIR, & IIT’S etc. She also highlightedthe need for holistic and multidisciplinary education in the presentcontext and motivated students to uphold our cultural and moralvalues.All the speakers spoke on the present educational scenario includingNEP leading to a brighter future through education. Rama Devi of Sem-III, Sonika Devi of Sem -VII and Rani Devi of Sem -V secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by Mr. Pardeep Singh.The programme was coordinated by Jyotaishwarew Singh CR Sem -V. Other faculty members who were present on the occasion include Dr.Ajay Kumar Sharma, Dr. Ravinder Kumar , Dr. Preeti Dubey, Prof. YashPaul, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Prof. Yash Kumar, Dr. Varun Kumar, Dr. RaviKumar, Mr. Mudassir and others. | | | | |
