In US Open Tennis, world No. 1 and defending champion Iga Swiatek of Poland has advanced to the third round of women’s Singles defeating Australia’s Daria Saville 6-3, 6-4. In another match, Coco Gauff of USA has entered the next round defeating Russia's Mirra Andreeva 6-3, 6-2. World No. 4 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan also reached the next round after walkover from Australia's Ajla Tomljanović.
In men's singles, second seed and three-time winner Novak Djokovic of Serbia beat Spain’s Bernabe Zapata Miralles 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 to enter the third round of the tournament. Frances Tiafoe of USA also cruised to the next round defeating Sebastian Ofner of Austria. However, Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas crashed out of the tournament after a defeat against Dominic Stephan Stricker of Switzerland. | | | | |
