| Policeman killed, another injured in South Kashmir | | | |  Srinagar, May 15 (Agencies): A policeman identified as Bilal Ahmad was killed and another injured after militants attacked a police vehicle in Pazalpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Tuesday.
Reports said that head constable Abdul Rashid and Special Police Officer Bilal Ahmad were injured in the attack. Both of them were rushed to sub-district hospital Bijbehara where Ahmad was declared dead on arrival. Rashid was referred to Srinagar after initial treatment at the hospital, said a doctor.
"Militants fired at police vehicle in Bijbehara. Police retaliated. One policeman injured in the process succumbed to his injury. Area under cordon. Details will follow," police said on Twitter | | | | |
