Two Indian nationals dead,16 others injured in Nepal bus mishap

In Nepal, two Indian nationals died and 16 others injured in a bus accident in Rautahat district.The accident occurred past midnight around 00:20 hrs on Tuesday when a bus carrying Indian pilgrims was hit by a truck in Mangalpur area of Chandranigahpur Municipality.

The deceased have been identified asVijay Kumar Jena (52) and Charan Biswal (54), both from Odisha. They died on the spot. The injured were admitted at Chandranigahpur hosptial and Neuro Hospital in Birgunj. Ten injured have been discharged while others are undergoing treatment. The condition of one injured is very critical.

The Consul General of India, B.C. Pradhan visited Birgunj Neuro Hospital and interacted with the injured, their family members and doctors. He requested hospital authorities to provide all necessary healthcare to the injured.

A team from the Consulate has been deployed at the hospital to monitor the treatment and provide all possible assistance to injured and their family members.

Another team of the Consulate has reached Chandranigahpur to make arrangement for repatriation of two dead bodies to their native places in Odisha and provide assistance to the injured persons admitted at Chandranigahpur hospital.
