| SMVDU Organized Open Marathon “Run for Health” | | | |  SMVDU Jammu, 22nd April 2019: Vice Chancellor Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay flagged off Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Open Marathon organized by Board for Sports Activities. Around 200 athletes participated in the event including students, faculty, staff and their family members. In students men category Prasad Birajdar secured 1st position, Balbir Singh and Arun sharma secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively. In women students category Ms. Mansi Sharma student of M.Sc. Physics 2nd year secured 1st position, Ms. Kanika Singh and Ms. Vernika Gupta secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively. In faculty/staff Men’s category Mr. Arjun Singh secured 1st position and Mr. Sanjeev Wadawan and Mr. Amandeep secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively . In faculty /staff women's category Mrs. Archita Dhiman secured 1st position. Mrs. Shalini Pandit and Mrs. Kamini Mishra grabbed 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Faculty members including Dr. Ashutosh Vashist, Mr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq, Dr. Amit Kant Pandit, Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Mr. Sudesh Kumar were present during the ceremony. Annual Sports Fest team ‘SARANG’ organized the event. | | | | |
