Indian diplomatic mission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is gearing up to receive additional number of Haj pilgrimage during the Ramadan period.
Consul General of India in Jeddah Mohd. Noor Rahman Sheikh said, the Indian Haj mission was working to secure accommodation, transportation and other logistic support for the increased number of pilgrims in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, following the decision of the Saudi government to increase the Haj quota by 25,000 pilgrims. He said, the quota increase was considered after a meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman in New Delhi during his visit in February this year and recently the Haj Ministry in the Kingdom had officially confirmed the increase. | | | |
