Machail Mata Yatra crosses 1 lakh mark
 
KISHTWAR, AUGUST 16: Machail Mata Yatra had crossed landmark of one lakh yatris on 15th August when the whole country was celebrating the 72nd years of India's Independence with gaiety and enthusiasm. The pilgrims coming across different parts of the country paid rich obscene at Machail Mata temple, crossing one lakh landmark. As per official figures about 1,02224 pilgrims have visited Machail Mata temple during the one and half -month long yatra which officially commenced from 25th July of this year.

Heavy rush of piligrims is seen this year which has crossed one lakh landmark, before the arrival of Charri Yatra from Chinote Bhadarwah to Kishtwar on 18th August. Since the commencement of yatra about 44919 males, 37339 females, 19784 children and 92 sadhus had performed darshans at Machail Mata temple.

While expressing happiness over heavy rush of pilgrims, DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana stated that people across the country have great faith over the deity of Mata Machail Rani who fulfils their wishes and also showers her blessings. He further added that the said Yatra has immensely contributed in uplifting the socio- economic conditions of people of Padder area and advised that during holy mace the Yatris must keep in mind the sanctity of the pious place and should remain concerned towards cleanliness and hygiene, keeping the surroundings clean so that Machail Yatra becomes one of the choicest place of pilgrimage in the country.
