DC conducts late-night inspection of Poonch town
Finalizes plan for installation of 400 Street Lights
 
POONCH MAY 24: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad conducted a late night inspection of the main town here the other day and reviewed the pace of progress of various ongoing developmental works.

Accompanied by a team of officers, the DC inspected public utilities, street lights, garbage disposal system at main market, passenger halts and sanitary complex at bus stand and also discussed with the officers projects for face lifting and beautification of the town, covering of open drains besides removal of encroachment from main roads for smooth passage of traffic.

The DDC also finalised Plan for installation of 400 street lights in the town with CEO Municipal Council Poonch. He directed the concerned to install these street lights at conspicuous places such as alongside main roads, parks, play fields, religious places, bus stand and district hospital for ensuring safe and hassle free movement of public during late hours. He also directed to replace dysfunctional lights in the town.

He also reviewed the ongoing work on passenger halts and toilets at bus stand and passed directions for completion of the works as soon as possible so that these can be thrown open for public use. He also impressed for maintenance of cleanliness in the town.

The team of officers included Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohammad Bashir Lone, Executive Officer Manzoor Lone, Tehsildar Haveli Shehzad Khan and others from district administration.
