Kerala on high alert over Nipah virus outbreak
 
Kerala May 22, 2018(Agencies) Kerala continues to be under high alert due to the outbreak of Nipah virus. Two more people lost their lives in Kozhikode district of Kerala today.

State Health Minister K K Sahailaja said that 12 people who are presently under treatment in Kozhikode are confirmed to be infected by the Nipah virus, out of which two are in critical condition. Meanwhile the reason of two death in Malappuram district last week is ascertained to be Nipah virus contamination.

Three central teams are visiting the infected regions of the district and is working in close connection with the State health department. Meanwhile, the government urged the public not to panic and said that the situation is in control
